Geane Carvalho Alzamora

Professor in the Social Communication Department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

She holds a post-doctorate from Pompeu Fabra University, Spain (2015);  PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil (2005); MA in Communication and Semiotics also from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1996) and BA in Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Brazil (1990).

Research of CNPq (CNPq productivity scholarship, level 2/Process n. 306898/2013) and FAPEMIG (Research of Minas Gerais/Fapemig Program/Process n. CHE – PPM -00263-15).
